in Zurich, Switzerland. Driven by a spirit of innovation and a fierce
desire to develop Swiss quality products, Leon Fogal launched
his own production and embarked on a most ambitious exercise
- integrating natural fibers such as cashmere and silk into what
would become the most luxurious stockings, socks and tights
in the world.
Innovation is at the heart of FOGAL, which brought “nylons” to
Switzerland in the 1940s, led the worldwide craze for colorful
tights in the 60s, and, in the 70s, a first for a fashion brand.
The spirit of innovation has endured over the decades with
line extensions in athletic wear and swimwear in revolutionary
fabrics that reflect the brand’s continued insistence on quality
and comfort.
